The women's basketball team returns to the Patriot Center Wednesday at 5 p.m. when the Patriots host East Tennessee State. Mason is looking for their first win in the series with Wednesday evening marking the fourth meeting between the two programs. The Bucs took an 87-76 decision over the Green and Gold last season in Johnson City, Tenn.
Both teams return their leading scorer from last season's tilt, which was much closer than the final score appears. Taylor Brown led the Patriots with a game-high 31 points on the day while the Bucs' Serena Clark provided a team-high 21. The game saw 13 ties while the lead exchanged hands 18 times throughout, though the Bucs would stretch their lead out to as much as 11 with less than 30 seconds remaining.
The Patriots enter the midweek matchup looking to build momentum from their 71-62 win over Mississippi Valley on Saturday while the Bucs are looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
