The George Mason men's basketball team returns to action in the Patriot Center on Saturday welcoming Iona for the fourth meeting between the two programs. The game will be televised on NBC Sports Network.

Mason is coming off a 99-69 victory over Catawba on Wednesday in the RAC. Junior Shevon Thompson recorded his third double-double of the season behind a career-high 29 points to go along with a team-leading 10 rebounds. Thompson was 13-for-15 from the floor in the victory and was one of six Patriots to score in double-figures.

Iona is coming off a victory over Indiana State in which it erased a 15-point halftime deficit to pull out the 91-84 win. Iona was picked to finish first in the MAAC and boasts four players averaging double-figure scoring numbers on the season. A.J. English leads the offense with a 24.4 ppg average which ranks first in the nation. David Laury, the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, is second on the team in scoring with an 18.3 ppg average.
