NEW YORK (Thurs., Dec. 11, 2014) – Major League Soccer today announced the fifty-five NCAA DI college seniors invited to participate in the 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine. Top collegiate athletes from across the country will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of representatives from all 20 MLS clubs in Fort Lauderdale, FL from Jan. 8-13, 2015. All invited players will be eligible for selection in the 2015 SuperDraft presented by adidas that will take place on Thursday, Jan. 15 in Philadelphia, PA.
A committee of NCAA Division I coaches from every conference, as well as MLS coaches, selected the invitees, all of whom completed their college eligibility this season. Generation adidas signings, non-collegiate players, and additional college seniors will be announced in the coming weeks.
A mix of collegiate soccer head coaches and MLS Academy personnel will make up the Combine coaching staff. University of Wisconsin soccer head coach John Trask will head up one of the four teams with D.C. United U-16 head coach Tom Torres serving as assistant. George Mason University soccer head coach
Greg Andrulis will lead a second team with New England Revolution's Youth Director Bryan Scales assisting. Kris Kelderman, head coach of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will lead a third team with Sporting Kansas City Academy Director Jon Parry at his side. East Tennessee State University soccer head coach Bo Oshoniyi will lead the last team with the Houston Dynamo's Director of Youth Development, James Clarkson serving as assistant coach.
