Seniors Alyson Farm registered an ace and classmate Stephi Matsushima led the match in digs with 15 and added two service aces as the Patriots closed out their home schedule with a 3-0 (22-25; 20-25; 20-25) loss to VCU on Senior Night, Saturday at the RAC. 

The Rams took a quick 9-3 lead, however, the Patriots would cut the lead to 10-7 after a 4-1 Mason run. The Patriots would fall behind 17-10, but once again used a timeout to ignite a rally and close the gap to 24-22, before the Rams Kala Jones would close the set with kill. 

The Patriots would score first in set two and the score would be tied three times in the first six points before VCU began to pull away knotted up at 3-3. The Rams would use a 10-2 run to create a gap that proved too much for the Patriots despite a late 13-8 run to make it a three point match at 21-18 VCU. 

Mason would lead set three by as much as 12-9 after before the lead would change hands for the fourth and final time in the set at 13-12 VCU. From there, the Rams would outscore Mason 15-8 to complete the 3-0 match win.  

The Patriot conclude their season next weekend when they travel to Rhode Island November 14 followed by a trip to Fordham on Nov. 16.
