George Mason women's basketball games will broadcast all home games and select road games on WGMURadio.com for the 2014-15 season.
WGMU Radio is the flagship station for Mason men's and women's basketball and has been a presence at George Mason since 1980. As the university's one and only free-form student-run radio station, WGMU can be heard via live stream 24-hours a day and prides itself in featuring a wide array of local and undiscovered artists in addition to 80 hours of live and original programming every week.
The broadcast schedule begins Friday, November 14 when the Patriots host ACC 's Virginia Tech in its season opener at the Patriot Center starting with a 15-minute pregame show at 4:45 p.m. followed by game action at 5 p.m.
Ben Simpson will be the voice of the George Mason women's basketball team for the second straight year, and is in his third year as part of the Patriot's broadcast team. Simpson, WGMU sports director has also worked in the broadcast booth for Mason Cable Network, PlayOn Sports and has called various high school championship games throughout Maryland and Virginia. Mason fans can also listen to the George Mason senior on his sports talk show twice a week, Mondays from 7-8 p.m. and Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m.
