Former George Mason men's soccer standout John Borrajo helped the San Antonio Scorpions of the North American Soccer League win the fall season championship on Sunday.
The Scorpions scored on a last-second goal in the final seconds of second half stoppage time for the 1-0 victory over the New York Cosmos. San Antonio and New York will meet again next Saturday, November 8 in the Championship Semifinal for a right to play in the Championship Final on November 15.
Borrajo has appeared in 24 matches this season on defense for the Scorpions. He played for the Patriots from 2005-08, earning second team All-CAA honors in 2008.
