George Mason women's volleyball fell 3-0 (21-25; 11-25; 19-25) at Rhode Island Friday night despite leading the contest with seven blocks on the night.

The Patriots kept the first set close, but the Rams held on thanks to six kills from Franki Darnold and 10 assists from Callan Kinnan.

Set two was more one-side, thought the Patriots would challenge Rhody with a run late in the third set though it would prove too little too late.

Sydney Fanoga led the way for the Patriots with 8.0 points on the night behind six kills on .308 hitting. Kelly Schaller added 5.5 points with three kills on .500 hitting.

Mason wraps up the season tomorrow night at Fordham at 7 p.m.
