George Mason women's volleyball wraps up its seven-match road trip Friday when they head to Washington, D.C. to face Revolutionary Rival, George Washington at 7 p.m. This will mark the second meeting between the #RevRivalry foes this season and 33rd overall. The Colonials took the October 2 meeting in Fairfax 3-1 and increased their series lead to 23-8 overall.
Morghan Martin led the way for the Patriots in the first meeting of the season with 12 kills, an ace and a block assist in addition to 12 digs. Jessie Greenslade was right behind her with 12 kills and two block assists. The Colonials were fueled by 19 kills and .469 hitting from Chidima Osuchukwu.
The Patriots are looking to rebound after dropping a 3-0 decision at Duquesne on Friday followed by a dramatic 3-1 loss at La Salle on Sunday. GW is returning home from a road swing as well, including at 3-2 win at American on Wednesday night.
The Patriots will have the rest of the weekend off before returning home to take on Davidson November 7, at 8 p.m. followed by VCU on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
