Coming off a 1-1 weekend, the George Mason women's soccer team closes out this three-game homestand welcoming Duquesne Friday night at 7 p.m. for the first meeting between the A-10 Conference opponents in program history.
Mason opened last weekend's action with a 2-1 victory over Saint Louis before falling to Dayton in overtime, 3-2. Liz Hodges scored two goals over the weekend and leads the team with three goals on the season. Sydney Mitchell assisted on a pair of goals over the weekend and leads the team in assists with five.
Duquesne comes into weekend action off an overtime loss at St. Bonaventure, 1-0. Maddie Layman paces the team's offense with five goals on the season. Goalkeeper Devon Tabata has played 11 contests, recording 52 saves and a 0.91 goals-against-average, good enough to rank fourth in the league.
