Box Score Caitlyn Hipsher registered 13 assists as the George Mason women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (17-25; 11-25; 9-25) to the Atlantic 10 leading Dayton Flyers Friday night at the RAC.
The Patriots held the lead just once on the night as the Flyers held Mason be 1% attacking while connecting on nearly 43% of attempts. The Flyers also attempted 74 serves to Mason's 39 with six aces to the Patriot's two.
Morghan Martin also provided a bright spot for Mason with a team-high seven points on the night followed by Meredith Blush with 6.5. Dayton was led by Alaina Turner with 17.5 points, though Janna Kafka was the stand-out of set three holding serve for 11 straight points including four aces, three of which came on consecutive points.
Mason looks to bounce back Saturday at 7 p.m. as they shed their Green and Gold for Pink when they host Saint Louis in the annual #DigPink match in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Side-Out Foundation.
