The George Mason Patriots women's volleyball team continues conference play Friday when they host Revolutionary Rival George Washington at 7 p.m. at the RAC.
Friday night marks the 32nd meeting between the two programs with GW holding a 23-8 series advantage. In the first season as A-10 foes in 2013, the Patriots dropped both meetings, falling 3-0 at home in late October.
Mason comes into the weekend at 5-10 on the season and 1-1 in conference plays with a sweep over Fordham Friday followed by a 3-1 loss to Rhode Island on Saturday. GW comes into the meeting at 11-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play after edging Rhode Island 3-2 on Friday and sweeping Fordham on Saturday.
Next up, the Patriots host Dayton Friday Oct. 10 followed by Saint Louis on Saturday Oct. 11 in the annual Dig Pink match, when Mason sheds its Green and Gold for Pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
