The George Mason men's basketball team plays its final non-conference game of the season visiting long-time rival Old Dominion on Saturday. The former conference foes faceoff at 7 p.m. in the Constant Center.
Mason opened 2014 with a victory over Penn, defeating the Quakers 80-77 behind a career-high 24 points from Bryon Allen. Freshman Jalen Jenkins also set a career-high, posting 10 points and six rebounds.
Currently on a two-game skid, Old Dominion most recently dropped a pair of games on the road at Richmond and William & Mary. Aaron Bacote leads the Monarchs averaging 18.5 points per game, while Richard Ross leads the team on the glass, pulling down 7.8 rebounds per game on average.
Old Dominion leads the all-time series over Mason, 34-21. The Patriots have taken the last five decisions over the Monarchs including a season sweep last year.
