FAIRFAX, Va - Radoslav Popov has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week.  The freshman contributed a total of 25 kills in a two-match series at Grand Canyon University. 

The talented freshman from Razlog, Bulgaria is an Outside Hitter for the Patriots and has played in every set this season.

To go along with his 25 kills, Popov also contributed five total blocks and 10 digs.

Not only did Radoslav Popov have a big weekend, he also had an amazing start to his Mason career, scoring a team-best 11 kills in the opening match against Ohio State.

Radoslav Popov is leading the Green and Gold with 36 kills on the season.

Popov has also been selected by Off the Block/Springbak, Inc as an honorable mention national freshman of the week.

Harvard's DJ White was selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week.  The 6'5 Outside Hitter had 11 digs and three blocks over the weekend.

The Patriots will host the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras for their home opener on Thursday, January 30.
