The George Mason men's volleyball team travels to Phoenix, Arizona for two matches against Grand Canyon University on January 24 and January 25.  The Patriots lost their season opener 3-0 at Ohio State on Friday, January 18. George Mason will host the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras for their home opener on Thursday, January 30.

GRAND CANYON

Grand Canyon University comes into this game with a record of 3-2.  After winning two matches in a row, the Antelope's lost their most recent match against Concordia on Saturday.  This will be Grand Canyon's home opener for this season.

Ben Ponnet leads the Antelope's in kills with a total of 54.  Keith Smith has a team-high 183 assists this season.  Meanwhile, Connor Dougherty leads the team with 22 blocks.

HISTORY

This will be the third matchup between George Mason and Grand Canyon.  However, it will be the first match played in Phoenix, Az.  Mason beat Grand Canyon last year 3-0 and the year before, 3-1.
