PROVIDENCE-- Dominque Dawson had a career day with 8 points, 2 assists and led the team in rebounds with 7 Saturday in George Mason's 59-40 loss at Rhode Island.

The Patriots took a 17-13 lead off a three-pointer from Kyana Jacobs  with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half, however Mason would score just two more points in the half and trail 29-19 heading to the break.

From there it was almost all Rhode Island with the Rams outscoring the Patriots 46-23 over the last 28 minutes of play, shooting just 38.6% (22-57) from the field but 54.5% (6-11) from beyond the arc.

Sophomore Taylor Brown led the Patriots in scoring with 14 points on the day, however the remaining four starters would contribute a combined nine points.
