Men's tennis visited Howard on Tuesday and rolled to a 4-0 win at the Banneker Tennis Courts in Washington, DC. The Patriots improve to 13-6 with two matches remaining in the 2012-13 season.
Mason won all three doubles matches for the doubles point. Taylor Sargent and Tanner Baine defeated the Bison team of Mitchell/Davis, 8-3 at the top position. At No. 2, Mason's team of Jordan Dyke and Chris Borden improved to 6-4 with a shutout of Dzakovic/Burns, 8-0. The Patriots team of Scott Keaton and Nick Barker handed Howard's Sorrell/Kendall at 8-4 setback.
In singles action, Mason scored points at No. 1, 4 and 5 matches for the win. The Patriots were winning in two other matches and did not finish. Tanner Baine played the top singles position and won 6-3, 3-0 ret.. Taylor Sargent improved to 9-2 win a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 and Chris Borden blanked Nico Sorrell, 6-0, 6-0.
The Patriots again travel to Washington, DC but this time to take on Georgetown on April 11th at 2:00 p.m.
