The men's tennis team weathered the cold but not the Bison as Bucknell defeated the Patriots by a 4-3 margin at the RAC Tennis Courts this afternoon.
Mason and Bucknell split the six singles matches to earn three points each. The Patriots Jimmy Davis won his match at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4 to continue his consecutive match wins at six. The other two Patriots points were garnered at No. 5 and 6 singles with Aaron Capital and Taylor Sargent victories.
The Bison took the top doubles match, 8-6, as the team of Katten/Bybel defeated Mason's team of Borden and Baine. The No. 2 match was won by the Patriots team of Davis/Keaton as they easily handled the duo of Zimmer/Morque, 8-3. The final match at No. 3 was narrowly won by the Bison, 9-7. The team of Lynch/Canibe prevailed against the Patriots Sargent/Dyke team.
Mason plays next at Mount St. Mary's tomorrow at Noon.
