Mason wraps up an eight game homestand this weekend, welcoming James Madison to Spuhler Field. Friday's game marks the 98th meeting between the two squads, with the Dukes leading the all-time series, 56-41.

The Patriots have won three in a row, taking the final two games of a CAA weekend series with Northeastern before defeating Radford, 5-4, on Tuesday. Mason is 10-10 overall and an even 3-3 in the conference, losing its opening weekend at Georgia State before rebounding to take two of three from Northeastern a week ago.

Junior Tucker Tobin is just one of three players to start all 20 games, and currently leads the team hitting .440 with 37 hits, two triples, six home runs, 22 RBI's and 20 runs scored. Classmate Blaise Fernandez follows hitting .373 with a team-best 10 doubles in addition to 31 hits and 14 RBI's.

Starters Jared Gaynor and Jake Kalish will be making their sixth starts of the season, while John Williams is making his first start of the season. Kalish leads the trio with a 3.68 ERA and 27 strikeouts, but Gaynor (26) follows closely behind with 26.

The Dukes enter the weekend 11-8 overall and 4-1 in the CAA. JMU has been hot in the month of March, winning its first nine games before losing its last two against UNCW and Maryland.

As a team, the Dukes are second in the conference with a team batting average of .336 and 12 triples.

Matt Tenaglia is hitting a team-best .431 with 31 hits, nine doubles and 22 RBI's. Chad Carroll stands second, batting .429 with a team leading seven stolen bases. Saturday's starter Luke Drayer has started three games and over 15.1 innings of work has a 1.76 ERA with 12 strikeouts.
