The Patriots will look to end a
two-match conference skid this weekend as it hosts No. 15 Harvard and Sacred Heart
in EIVA action at the RAC. Friday's match versus Harvard is the Game of the
Week, and students in attendance will receive a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich with
valid student ID.
Senior Piotr Dabrowski continues
to lead the conference defensively with his average of 1.40 blocks/set (3rd
nationally), while as a team the Patriots rank sixth in the nation in
blocks/set (2.69) and seventh in digs/set (9.77).
Offensively, Andrew Dentler
(3.48) and Mark Jones (2.91) pace the team in kills/set, with Javier Perez
averaging a team-best 10.33 assists/set.

The two teams met three times
last season, splitting a pair of regular season matches before the Patriots
swept the Crimson in the semifinals of the EIVA Tournament.
Harvard enters Friday's match
with a six-game winning streak, including four matches against EIVA opponents. The
Crimson stand second in the EIVA with a 5-1 record, its only loss coming at the
hands of Penn State.
DJ White leads the team with an
impressive 4.05 kills/set, followed by 2.95 kills/set from Branden Clemens and
2.79 kills/set from Nick Madden, while Rob Lothman has a team-best 10.27
assists/set. Defensively, Chris Gibbons is best on the team with 2.32 digs/set
and Caleb Zimmick paces the team with 1.16 blocks/set.

The Pioneers
will play at Princeton on Friday before making the trip to Fairfax. Last season
the two squads split a pair of matches, with each team winning on its home
court.
Sacred Heart
enters the weekend with an overall record of 2-9 and 1-5 in the conference. The
Pioneers picked up their first conference win of the season last weekend after
sweeping Rutgers-Newark.
Brad Borsay
has a team-best 3.10 kills/set, while Benjamin Thomas leads the squad with 9.90
assists/set. Defensively the Pioneers have three players averaging at or near
2.00 digs/set, including AJ Logosh (2.08), Borsay (2.00) and Adrian Fernandez
(1.92). Nikolas Nelson paces the team in blocks, averaging 0.78 a set.
