The George Mason men's basketball team wraps up play in Honolulu, Hawai'i facing Saint Mary's in the seventh-place game on December 25. Game time is slated for 1:30 p.m. EST/8:30 a.m. HT. The fifth-annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic will be played at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawai'i.

Saint Mary's entered the three-day tournament undefeated at 9-0, but has dropped its first two contests of the season. Saint Mary's opened the tournament falling to South Carolina, 71-78, before falling to host Hawai'i, 74-76. Four players average double-figures led by Brad Waldow's 17.7 ppg average. Mason has fallen to No. 17 Iowa State and Oregon State in the tournament.
