George Mason welcomes South Florida to the Patriot Center for a midweek tilt on Wednesday at 7 p.m. It marks the first trip to Fairfax for South Florida as the squads met for the first time in program history last season in Tampa. USF took the decision, 61-57.
Mason is coming off a 61-54 victory over Rhode Island Saturday afternoon. Redshirt freshman Jalen Jenkins walked away with a career-best 11 rebounds and five blocks, while matching his career-high in scoring with nine points. Sherrod Wright led the Patriots with a game-best 16 points.
South Florida comes into the contest with a 4-2 record, including a 1-0 record on the road having picked up a 75-61 win at Bowling Green in its lone road test of the season. The Bulls have dropped the past two games at home against Oklahoma State and Detroit, most recently. Victor Rudd leads the squad with a 14.2 points per game average, while John Egbunu secures a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game on average.
