FAIRXFAX, Va. – Senior Alex Herrera has been named to the Top Drawer Team of the Week as announced on Tuesday, following his performance on the field that helped Mason put up a 2-0 record over the weekend. 

The senior scored his first goal of the season on Friday on a penalty kick and recorded one assist in helping to lift the Patriots to a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island. He also played a key role in Mason's 2-0 shutout victory over George Washington on Sunday to keep the team unbeaten in conference play.

The men's soccer team continues conference play on Friday, November 8 when they face fifth place Duquesne at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
