George Mason Athletics Men's Basketball 11/4/2013 10:24:00 AM

Fairfax, Va.--George Mason and the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will partner to broadcast Patriots men's basketball games for the 8th consecutive season. The official cable partner will broadcast seven contests in addition to the BB&T Classic, bringing the Patriots total number of regular season televised games up to 20 for the 2013-14 season.

In addition, three of the eight MASN games will also be broadcast live on SportsNet New York (SNY) as part of the Atlantic 10 Conference's agreement with the New York regional sports network.  SNY, which reaches more than 13 million homes throughout its footprint, will carry 43 A-10 basketball games during the 2013-14 season.  The three Mason games include home contests against Rhode Island (11/30), UMass (1/15) and Richmond (2/26).

The Patriots will make their season debut on MASN with back-to-back home contests, Saturday, November 30 for a non-conference tilt against Rhode Island and on Wednesday, December 4 against the South Florida Bulls from the newly formed American Athletic Conference.

MASN will air five of the Patriots Atlantic 10 conference games, beginning with a mid-week game on January 15 against UMass. In February, MASN will broadcast three home contests against the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, February 5, the Homecoming contest against St. Bonaventure on February 15th and the game versus the Richmond Spiders on February 26th. The final game of the regular season at the Patriot Center against Duquesne will wrap up the broadcast slate with MASN.

For the seventh consecutive year, MASN will televise the BB&T Classic, the annual tournament at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. that benefits the Children's Charities Foundation (CCF). This year's 19th annual event is on December 8 and showcases two games as the Patriots battle Big 12 powerhouse Oklahoma Sooners in the first game of the double-header at 1:00 p.m., followed by long-time host universities, George Washington and Maryland.
