The George Mason women's basketball team faces the College of Charleston for the first time in program history on Monday as the Patriots tipoff a seven game road swing. Mason comes into the game off a thrilling last-minute win over Longwood. CofC is coming off a 75-56 win over South Carolina State Saturday afternoon.
In Mason's last outing, the Patriots took a 66-65 win over Longwood thanks to a jumper from junior Sandra Ngoie with two seconds remaining on the clock. Ngoie led all scorers in the game with a career-high 22 points while fifth-year senior Janaa Pickard tabbed her fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The College of Charleston is 3-3 heading in to Monday's match-up coming off a 75-56 win over South Carolina State. The Cougars are led by Alyssa Frye (13.2 PPG) and Afreyea Tolbert (10.8 PPG).
