FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason cross country teams wraps up the fall the season on Saturday, November 23 with the ECAC Women's Division 1 Cross Country Championships and the IC4A Men's Division 1 Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY.

Unlike most cross country meets, the teams had only one week of preparation for the championships compared to the usual two. The men's and women's teams will send competitors to compete in the Championship event of each race and a few men will be running in the Coaches' race as well.  The men's Coaches' 5000-meter race will start at 9:40 a.m. followed by the 5000-meter ECAC Championship race at 10:30 a.m. and the IC4A 5-mile Championship race at 11 a.m.

The women's team is sending 11 runners to compete in the Championship race, including All-Conference and All-Region honors recipient Bethany Sachtleben. The junior most recently finished 18th overall at NCAA Southeast Regional's last weekend and won the Individual women's championship at the Atlantic 10 Championship meet on November 15. Thirteen men will be making the trip, led by All-Conference award winners Michael Conway and John Holt.
