The George Mason women's basketball team looks to extend its three game win-streak when they host Saint Francis (Pa.) on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the eighth meeting between the two programs. The last meeting between the two squads came 13 years ago.The Patriots lead the series 6-2, including a 3-0 mark at home.
Saint Francis (Pa.) comes to the Patriot Center with a 0-2 record after losses to Colgate and No.13 Penn State to start the season.
In George Mason's last contest against Towson, senior Kyana Jacobs came up with a game-changing steal with less than three minutes on the clock and the Green and Gold trailing by eight. The steal kicked off a 10-0 Mason run to seal a 60-58 win over Towson.
Fifth-year senior Janaa Pickard is averaging a double-double (15.3 PPG, 10 RPG) through the first four games after setting new career highs in points and rebounds against Utah Valley with 21 of each.
