The George Mason women's soccer team plays its first home Atlantic 10 contest on Sunday at 3 p.m. welcoming Saint Louis to George Mason Stadium. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. for the first-ever meeting between the league opponents.
Mason played its inaugural A-10 contest on Friday, traveling to Dayton. The Patriots dropped a 3-0 decision as Emma Starr, Jazmin Cardoso and Hollie Byer each posted shots on goal. Cardoso and Liz Hodges continue to lead Mason offensively with two goals each on the season. Goalkeeper Lyndse Hokanson has accumulated 42 saves in 10 starts with a 2.03 goals-against-average.
Saint Louis comes into Sunday's contest on a two-game winning streak, having picked up a pair of conference wins to open the league season. The Billikens defeated St. Bonaventure and most recently, Richmond. Jessie Jarrett and Livi Logan-Wood each own five points on the season to lead the team, while goalkeeper Hanna Benben has recorded 39 saves with a 2.05 goals-against-average.
