The George Mason men's basketball team plays its first conference road test on Saturday at William & Mary, looking to avoid an 0-2 start in conference play for the first time in six seasons. The Patriots will also try to snap a two-game losing skid and prevent a three-game losing streak, which has not happened since the 2009-10 season.
William & Mary is 1-0 in conference after a 71-62 home win over Old Dominion in December, but is currently in the midst of a two-game losing streak. Most recently, the Tribe dropped a 64-50 decision at Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. Marcus Thornton leads a trio of double-figure scorers with 17.9 points per game, which ranks third in the conference. As a team, W&M is the CAA's most productive offense, scoring 68.7 points per game.
Mason has won the last two matchups and leads the all-time series, 37-27.
