The Mason men's tennis team hosted the Mason Invitational this weekend. Teams from Christopher Newport, Mary Washington and Mount St. Mary's participated.
The Patriots had four players finish with perfect 3-0 singles records and four doubles teams finish undeafeated. Junior Jimmy Davis won his matches in the top singles position and teamed with Scott Keaton won all three doubles matches. Two freshman Tanner Baine and Aaron Capitel and returner Steve Hyre also recorded 3-0 records. Junior Jordan Borsanyi won both his singles matches.
In doubles action, joining Davis/Keaton with a 3-0 record was the team of Taylor Sargeant/Hyre. Mason recorded three more doubles wins as Patrick Mulquin and Coner Moran won two matches and Borsanyi/Capital won one.
