Mason hosts its annual Patriot Invitational this weekend, welcoming four teams to the RAC ... The Patriots are coming off their first win of the season, a five-set victory on Tuesday night over UMBC ... Junior Laura Spencer leads the Patriot offense through the first week of the year, as she has recorded 31 kills along with eight blocks ... Following the weekend action, Mason will spend the next two weekends on the road at tournaments hosted by High Point and Penn, with the Patriots' next home action scheduled for Friday, September 21, the CAA opener against Georgia State.
