The George Mason women's basketball team opens the 2012 CAA Women's Basketball Championship on Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. The No. 7-seeded Patriots will face No. 10-seeded Northeastern at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md. This marks the second consecutive year the tournament is being held at The Show Place Arena.
The conference foes split the regular season series with each team taking their home court decision. The Huskies have won four of their past five outings, with three coming on their home court. Mason and Northeastern have met once in the CAA Tournament, dating back to 2008 with the Huskies winning the decision.
The winner of Thursday's matchup will take on No. 2-seeded James Madison on Friday at 5 p.m.
