The
baseball team returns to the friendly confines of Spuhler Field for two
non-conference weekday matchups versus Georgetown and George Washington.
Mason is
in the midst of a four-game losing streak, most recently being swept by Towson
over the weekend. It was the first time Towson had swept a CAA weekend series
over the Patriots since joining the conference in 2004.

the team losses senior Brig Tison continues to perform well at the plate,
leading the team in batting average (.410), runs scored (21), hits (34), doubles
(6), stolen bases (9) and walks (10). Senior Dan Schafferman has a team-high 22
RBI's (T-2nd conference), and senior Zack Helgeson has a
conference-high eight home runs.
Pitching
on Tuesday versus Georgetown will be junior Brandon Kuter (1-0). In two starts
and four total appearances Kuter has posted a 12.15 ERA in 6.2 innings of work.
Freshman John Williams (2-1) will take to the mound on Wednesday for his fourth
start of the season. In 17.2 innings of work he has posted a 3.57 ERA and 13
