ERIE, Pa. - George Mason middle blocker
Piotr Dabrowski was
recognized as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the
conference office on Monday afternoon.
Dabrowski led the team in a 1-1 weekend, defeating Harvard
by a score of 3-0 before falling to Sacred Heart, 3-2.
Playing all three
sets against Harvard, Dabrowski posted a game-high eight blocks while also
contributing four kills. In the match at Sacred Heart, he once again posted a
game-high block total with 10.
As a team, Mason leads the conference in blocks with an
average of 2.78/set. Dabrowski ranks second among individual players with a
1.43 blocks/set average.
The Patriots return to action on Friday, hosting No. 12
Loyola-Chicago on Friday evening at 7:00 pm.
