Following a break for the exam period, the George Mason women's basketball team returns to the court visiting George Washington for the 13th time in program history, matching up against the Colonials at noon on Saturday.
George Mason is coming off a tough loss on the road at No. 9 Maryland. Rahneeka Saunders and Kyana Jacobs each posted double-figure scoring numbers for the visiting squad. On the season, Saunders leads Mason offensively with a 14.4 points per game average, while Janaa Pickard contributes 10.4 ppg. Senior Amber Easter leads the team in rebounding, securing 7.4 rebounds per game on average.
GW snapped a three-game skid last Saturday with a victory over Howard in the Smith Center to improve to 3-2 at home. Tara Booker and Megan Nipe each average over 10 points per game to lead the team offensively, while Sara Mostafa pulls down a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game.
