RICHMOND, Va. - The George Mason women's volleyball team picked up a Colonial Athletic
Association victory over rival James Madison on Friday night in large part to
junior Lana Zonjic's efforts, and the conference recognized her Monday as the
Offensive Player of the Week.
Zonjic picked up her second Offensive Player of the Week award after
recording a career high 24 kills in the Patriots' 3-2 win over James Madison
last Friday. Zonjic hit .268 while averaging 4.8 kills per set. She also was a
factor defensively adding 19 digs (3.8 digs per set).
The Zagreb, Croatia, native ranks second in the CAA with 3.64 kills per set
and 313 total kills.
Zonijc and the Patriots finish up the regular season
this weekend, hosting Hofstra on Friday at 7 p.m. and Northeastern on Saturday
at 6 p.m.
