The Mason men's tennis team defeated Navy today 8-1 to split the two matches played at the Navy Gold Invite this weekend in Annapolis, Md. Mason won five out six singles and all three doubles en route to the win.
Mason got wins from top singles player Jimmy Davis, Jordan Dyke, Danny Naja, Scott Keaton and Aaron Capitel. Mason swept the doubles matches with Davis/Keaton winning 8-3 in the top spot. Dyke/Baine defeated Navy's Gaines/Jones, 8-3 and Sargent/Hyre won 8-6.
Mason's only loss of the day came in flight 3 singles when Tanner Baine fell to Navy's Blake Daniel.
