The George Mason women's basketball team concludes this two-game road swing visiting UNCW at Trask Coliseum on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Patriots will look to snap a five-game slide, while the Seahawks will look to end a two-game skid.
Mason is coming off a 58-54 defeat at Northeastern to open this road trip on Thursday. Taleia Moton, who leads the team in scoring with a 21.3 points per game average, led Mason with a team-high 21 points. Janaa Pickard contributed 14 points to the board for the Patriots. Evelyn Lewis leads the team on the glass, pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game on average.
UNCW enters Sunday's matchup having dropped the past two games to VCU and Delaware, most recently. Two players average double-figures for the Seahawks, paced by Alisha Andrews' 13.3 ppg average. Karneshia Garrett adds 10.1 points per game on average, while also leading the team on the boards with a 7.5 rebounds per game average. UNCW's lone conference win came at home against Northeastern.
