NEWS & NOTES
The George Mason women's basketball team will look to snap this four-game skid opening a two-game road trip at Northeastern Thursday night. The Patriots swept the Huskies last season and narrowly lead the all-time series, 7-6.
Mason is coming off a 66-54 loss to No. 21 Delaware in the Patriot Center on Sunday. Taleia Moton recorded her fifth game this season of scoring 30+ points in a game, leading the team with 30. Moton continues to lead the Patriots this season, owning a 21.3 points per game average, good for third in the conference and 11th in the country. Pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game on average, Rahneeka Saunders leads Mason on the glass.
Northeastern has gotten off to a slow start this season, dropping the first six games of the season. The Huskies' lone wins came against Vermont and at Kent State. Jewel Tunstull and Deanna Kerkhof each lead the team with double-figures, boasting 13.1 and 11.4 points per game averages, respectively.
