George Mason men's soccer forward Taylor Morgan continues to
receive accolades as the forward was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference
(ECAC) Division I Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, Tuesday, in
recognition of his standout weekend. In addition, on
Wednesday, Morgan was named to the Soccer America Men's Team of the Week.
The junior helped lead the Patriots to a 1-0-1 record last
weekend against nationally-ranked opponents, including a 2-1 defeat over No. 24
Cal State Fullerton.
Morgan, a native of Southampton, England, led Mason with two
goals during the two-game weekend. On Friday night against No. 8/10 Central
Florida, Morgan scored the Patriots' lone goal in the 1-1 double-overtime draw.
Closing out weekend action on Sunday, the junior scored the game-winner against
No. 24 Cal State Fullerton on a penalty kick in the 69th minute. It
was the first loss of the season for the Titans.
Morgan, who earlier in the week was named the Colonial
Athletic Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week, leads the Patriots on the
season with a team-high six goals, including a team-high three game-winning
goals.

Morgan on the Soccer America Men's Team of the Week is Chandler Hoffman (UCLA),
Erik Hurtado (Santa Clara), Mladen Lemez (UAB), Tyler Riggs (Kentucky), Jesse
Sharp (Evansville) and Andrew Wenger (Duke).
