FAIRFAX,
Va. - Senior midfielder Chelsea
Gamble will be one of 37 Division I student-athletes competing in the
North-South Senior Game on June 11 as announced by the Intercollegiate
Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Gamble was named to the Division I South

"It is a great honor to be named to the team," Gamble
stated. "My parents and I are all very excited about me being able to play one
more game in my career."
In total, 109 senior student-athletes were honored by the
IWLCA with selection to one of the North-South rosters. The 2011 North-South
games will take place at the Champions' Cup, held at the United
Sports Training
Center in Downingtown, Pa.,
on June 11. The event will precede the IWLCA All-American dinner, which will
take place later that evening.
"I'm looking forward to having this special opportunity,"
Gamble noted. "It is exciting to see who is on my team and know I am playing
with some of the best athletes in the country, some of whom I've played with or
against throughout my career."
Gamble joins Colonial Athletic Association conference
opponents Diana Apel, Mary Kate Lomady and Caitlin
Sullivan of James Madison on the South roster,
while Jessica Dunn and Megan Fitzgerald of Towson and Katie Hertsch of Hofstra
were named to the North roster.
The North-South Division I contest will take place at 12 p.m. followed by Division II and Division III. The South squad will be coached by Virginia Tech's Megan Burker, while Sonia LaMonica of Towson will head the North squad.
"We are thrilled to have Chelsea represent George Mason at the
North-South Senior Game," commented George Mason head coach Lauren Rywak. "Chelsea had an amazing
career at Mason and we are excited she will be able to have the opportunity to
play in a game with the best players in the country. She is truly deserving of
this recognition."

recognized by the CAA for her performance on the field being named twice to the
Second Team All-CAA and to the CAA All-Rookie Team following her inaugural
campaign. She anchored the team's defense her senior season leading the squad
in draw controls (41) and was second in ground balls (25); Gamble ranked 59th
