The George Mason men's basketball team begins its quest for a fifth Colonial Athletic Association championship on Saturday afternoon as the top-seeded Patriots take on Georgia State. It is the third time that Mason has entered the tournament as the number one overall seed ... Mason defeated the Panthers twice this season, including a 65-58 win a week ago in Atlanta ... Eric Buckner leads the GSU offense with a 9.3 ppg average ... The winner of the game will advance to the semifinal round and square off against the winner of the VCU/Drexel game later Saturday afternoon ... The CAA has announced that the Patriots' quarterfinal game against Georgia State will now be syndicated in the Fairfax area by Cox Sports Channel 74. The game will also be available for free online at ESPN3.com and on The Comcast Network where available. Cox Sports 74 will also carry the Patriots' Sunday semifinal should Mason advance. Monday's game will be televised live at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
