ORLANDO, Fla.- The George Mason golf team
finished 16th
at the Rio Pinar Invitational. The three-round
tournament was played at the par-72, 7,001-yard Rio Pinar Country Club in
Orlando.
The Patriots improved in each of the three
rounds, beginning with a first round 310, then cut nine strokes off the second
round and finished the third round today with a 298. Silas VanSky led Mason
with a 54-hole score of 221. He turned in a two-under par 70 in the final
round. Branson Real finished with a 229 and Josh Apple a 231.
The Patriots will return to the links on March
26th
and 27 to participate in the Towson Fireline Tournament.
