George Mason opens this two-game homestand welcoming Delaware to the Patriot Center on Thursday. Mason took the first meeting this season on the road against Delaware, defeating the Blue Hens 51-48. The Blue Hens are paced in scoring by Elena Delle Donne who averages 25.5 points per game. On Sunday at James Madison, Brittany Poindexter scored her 1,000th career point, becoming the 14th Patriot in George Mason women's basketball history to cross the milestone. Before Thursday night's tipoff, Poindexter will be recognized on the court.
