The George Mason men's basketball team closes out a three-game homestand and the month of November on Wednesday night against Bucknell. The Patriots hold a 6-3 all-time advantage over the Bison ... The Bison come to fairfax riding a five-game winning streak. Bucknell's two losses both came on the road, a 70-58 loss at Minnesota and an 80-68 defeat at Vanderbilt. BU is holding its opponents to less than 60 points per game on average, outscoring them by 8.6 points per contest. Four Bison average double-digit scoring, led by top scorer and rebounder Mike Muscala (13.7 ppg/8.4 rpg) ... Mason has held its last two opponents to fewer than 50 points in the wins over Brown and Albany. The last time that the Patriots have held back-to-back teams to less than 50 was Jan. 9 and 13, 2010, wins over UNC Wilmington (59-46) and Georgia State (52-49). Mason has never held three straight opponents below the 50-point mark in the program's 46-year history ... Up next, The Patriots take a quick dip into Colonial Athletic Association play as they travel Saturday night to face Towson at 7 p.m.
