The George Mason women's basketball team takes the new season on the road for the first time visiting Longwood on Thursday before traveling to Stony Brook for a Monday night meeting.

Mason and Longwood met last season in Fairfax with the Patriots taking the decision 73-45 led by Evelyn Lewis, Brittany Poindexter and Amber Easter all in double figures.

The Patriots are coming off a 59-48 victory over Oakland in the first meeting between the two programs. Amber Easter led Mason for the second consecutive contest, chipping in 11 points, along with Taleia Moton.

Longwood split its first two contests of the season, falling to #11 Georgetown before edging Cornell, 68-61 at home. Brittani Billips leads the Lancers averaging 13.0 points per game followed by Erin Neal with a 10.0 ppg average. Billips also leads on the glass, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game.
