Fans of the George Mason men's
basketball team will have plenty of ways to follow the Patriots all season
long, including select games broadcast locally on 106.7 The Fan, as the team's
audio broadcast schedule was announced Monday.
All of the Patriots' regular-season
and CAA Championship tournament games will continue to be broadcast over the
internet for free on GoMason.com. Bill
Rohland returns for his 13th season overall, seventh as the
play-by-play voice of the Patriots in 2011-12, and will call all of the action
including pre- and post-game shows with Mason coaches and players.
Additionally, select Patriots'
contests in 2011 can be heard live on 106.7 The Fan in the Washington, D.C.
market, including Friday night's season opener against Rhode Island. Road games
at Florida Atlantic (November 19, 7 p.m.) and Radford (December 10, 4 p.m.)
will also be broadcast live on The Fan.
Coming later this season, the Green
and Gold will debut an all-new GoMason Mobile smartphone app, which will
provide game day live audio as well as on-demand audio and video and the latest
content from GoMason.com.
Mason fans will have plenty of
opportunities to watch the Patriots as well, as at least 19 games in 2011-12
will be televised. All of the Patriots' home basketball games will also be live
streamed through Patriot Vision on GoMason.com, subject to local television
blackouts.
All updated listings of the Mason
basketball broadcasts can be found at GoMason.com.
