NEWS & NOTES
Coming off a 1-0 victory over James Madison on Sunday, the
George Mason women's soccer team concludes this three-game homestand this
weekend welcoming Northeastern and Hofstra.
Tiana Kallenberger owns a team-leading four goals on the
season, while Zoe Doherty and Liz Hodges boast three goals apiece to lead the
Mason offense. In net, Lyndse Hokanson has seen action in 11 matches and owns a
1.41 goals against average.
The Huskies are coming off a scoreless draw at Drexel and
have recorded conference wins over VCU and James Madison this season. Veronica
Napoli paces the Northeastern offense with six goals and four assists. Paige
Burnett has started all 12 matches in net, recording 61 saves to go along with
a 1.39 goals against average.
Hofstra squares off against Towson on Friday
before visiting Mason on Sunday. The Pride are led by Laura Greene with 11
goals and one assist for 23 points. Greene ranks second in points in the league
and is tied for first in goals. Nationally, Greene ranks in the top-10 in three
offensive categories. Emily Morphitis and Kylie Shuster have split time in the
net, combining for 31 saves and a 1.48 goals against average.
