ARLINGTON, Va. - In the last five seasons, the George Mason men's basketball team has played 125 games in front of television cameras, and the Patriots will be televised at least 18 times during the 2011-12 season. The announcement comes as the Colonial Athletic Association unveiled its television broadcast package for the upcoming season at CAA Media Day.

Of those games, all but five of Mason's CAA contests will be televised, while a minimum of five non-conference contests will also be broadcast. The composite television schedule includes games on the multi-platform ESPN package, the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, and Comcast SportsNet.

Mason's first television appearance comes on November 14, when the Patriots face Florida International in the opening round of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off. That game will tip at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN3. As the Patriots advance through the NIT field, there is the potential for as many as three more TV contests on the ESPN family of networks.

The Patriots' second scheduled home contest of the year, a 7 p.m. tip against Bucknell, will be broadcast on MASN which begins its sixth year as the official cable partner of the Patriots. MASN will also broadcast the December 21 home game against Duquesne, set to begin at 7 p.m. Road contests in the month of December at Virginia (Dec. 6, 7 p.m.) and College of Charleston (Dec. 30, 7 p.m.) will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Fans can watch the Green and Gold on ESPNU twice during conference play, on the road against Drexel (January 7, 8 p.m.) and at home against Old Dominion (February 4, 5 p.m.). At least six of the Patriots' CAA games will be televised by Comcast SportsNet, with the February 25 matchup at VCU set to tip at 4 p.m. on either CSN or ESPN2.

MASN will have home-and-home coverage of the Patriots' series against UNC Wilmington, while ESPN3 will show the Jan. 18 game against Delaware and the Feb. 8 tilt against Hofstra. Both of those games will be played at the Patriot Center with a 7 p.m. start time.
