NEWS & NOTES
The George Mason women's soccer team makes its final road
trip of the regular season this weekend traveling to UNC Wilmington on Friday
and Georgia State on Sunday. The Patriots are coming off a three-game
homestand, posting a 2-1 record with wins over James Madison and Hofstra.
Tiana Kallenberger continues to pace the Patriot offense
with a team-high five goals, while Zoe Doherty follows with four goals on the
season. Kallenberger and Nicole Clark are each tied with a team-high four
assists. Lyndse Hokanson and Alex Bodenschatz have each earned seven starts in
net, combining for a 1.59 goals against average and 73 saves.
UNCW, coming off a 2-0 loss at James Madison, is led by
Stephanie Rose and Kim Currie, each with two goals on the year. Amanda Holmes
owns a team-best two assists. Goalkeeper Caitlin Hunter has gotten the start in
12 matches and owns a 1.61 goals against average and has recorded 70 stops.
The Panthers are paced by Sarah Bennett with six goals as
Jordan Young owns a team-best five assists. Collins Kellianne and Rebecca Ingram
have shared time in the net, combining for a 1.59 goals against average and 79
saves. Georgia State has defeated Old Dominion and Delaware for conference wins
this season.
