The George Mason women's basketball team closes out this two-game road trip battling long-time Colonial Athletic Association rival Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday afternoon in Richmond. VCU owns a 8-1 streak over Mason dating back to 2005, but the all-time series is knotted at 26-26. The last Mason win over VCU occurred on 3/8/2006 in Fairfax with the Patriots downing the Rams, 74-60. Prior to 2005, Mason owned a seven game win streak. The Patriots are coming off a four-point loss at Old Dominion to move to 1-1 in CAA play on the year, while VCU picked up its second conference win, defeating UNC Wilmington 70-58 on its home court. The Rams have won three straight and four of their last five outings.
